| Dear Friends, I just want to take a moment to share with you how happy I am to serve the Church and our congregation. When I look around our church—at the smiles, the conversations, the ways you show up for one another—I see God’s works in action. It’s clear that the Spirit is alive and moving in our church home. In today’s world that feels heavy with worry and division, being part of a church like ours is such a gift. You are generous, kind, thoughtful, and full of creativity. You keep finding new ways to love others, serve our neighbors, and live out your faith. And it’s making a difference—right here, and far beyond our walls. As we enter this season of our annual stewardship campaign, we’re inviting everyone to reflect on two simple things: First, what gifts—your time, your skills, your passions—can you share with this community? Each of us has something unique and valuable to offer. Second, what’s your story? How has your journey of faith shaped you? And how can sharing that story help us grow closer—to each other and to God? Soon, you’ll receive a letter from our Stewardship Chair, Mary Hovden, with everything you need to prayerfully consider your gift—your promise to support this church with your time, your talents, and your resources. In the meantime, I hope you’ll take some quiet time to pray, to reflect, and to consider how you might continue sharing your beautiful self with our Transfiguration Family. May God bless you and yours. In His Service, Wayne E. Smith Senior Warden |
