Transfiguring Times – 11/20/25

The Rector’s Metamorpho-News
Dearly transfigured people of God,

I was reviewing our progress in the pledge campaign as well as our attendance over the last few months. Many of us may not often see the pastor(s) of the congregation fretting and pouring over the data. That’s one of the typically unseen parts of a priest’s life. I find that tea and honey helps! So, I was reviewing our records and the Holy Spirit must have sensed the stress and pressure. As I was ruffling through pages of our service records and comparing them with the results recorded online, I saw a notification. The notification said the Church of the Transfiguration has welcomed 11 new members in the past 30 days. I was reminded of our purpose, our center, and our joy. We are here to worship Jesus together and to share who he is to the world. Christ is the center of our lives, and his love for us is our joy. The 11 new members joining our congregation are the fruits of the Holy Spirit moving among us.

This is why as we discussed the pledge drive for this year, I suggested we use a tree and leaves to represent the gifts pledged in support of the congregation. We are an organic, living body, a local part of the body of Christ. I encourage each of us to continue to invite our friends, families, and neighbors to join us in celebrating life and love on Sundays and holidays. As for our pledges, those things I fret about in the office from time to time, we are currently at 39% of our goal! That is excellent progress and I am grateful to all of you. We just have 61% of our goal to go!

Blessings,

Fr. Caleb
Fr. Caleb deeply values the connection with the members of our congregation and welcomes your input. Whether it’s through office or home visits, phone calls, or email, he is here for you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any needs, or concerns, or simply want to chat.
