Morning Prayer

Every Wednesday morning at 9:30am Arizona time, we gather for Morning Prayer via Zoom. When Christians pray the Daily Office, they pray together as the Body of Christ. Imagine: in all places, at all times, someone somewhere is praying the ancient prayers of the church. It is a primary way we, the church, “pray without ceasing,” as Paul commands us to do in I Thessalonians 5:17. Morning Prayer is found in the Book of Common Prayer. If praying the Office is new to you, we invite you to come give it a try. It can be a bit daunting at first, we understand. But you will be given all the tools you need to participate to whatever extent you feel comfortable. And you will find yourself embedded in a community of prayer that spans centuries, geography, and time zones. If you would like to begin praying Morning Prayer with us, please e-mail Barbara Press. She will add you to the Zoom invitation and make sure you have what you need.
